There is a solution, but it probably shouldn't be used unless absolutely necessary. Clearly, this makes sending files around a problem (and definitely an issue if you want to use Firefox's upcoming SVG support for the web!). So if you move your file to another system, the font you used may not be available. One problem with SVG files is that they specify fonts you have on your system.
